Irish Meat Exports

In 2018, exports of beef, lamb, pigmeat and poultry amounted to €3.81bn or 31% of total food and drink exports. 2018 export tonnage and value by sector was:
  • Beef: 579,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €2.5bn
  • Sheepmeat: 55,800 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €315m
  • Pigmeat: 264,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €666m
  • Poultry: 140,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €316m
