Irish Meat Exports

In 2017, exports of beef, lamb, pigmeat and poultry amounted to €3.78bn or 31% of total food and drink exports. 2017 export tonnage and value by sector was:
  • Beef: 556,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €2.5bn
  • Sheepmeat: 57,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €275m
  • Pigmeat: 247,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €712m
  • Poultry: 96,000 tonnes exported, total value of exports was €275m
